#RainbowsAndBrakeLights

I like rainbows.

Also, this picture was totally not taken illegally. I promise. I am not crossing my fingers or anything.

Back to rainbows. As I was saying, I like them. They make me smile. They make what is otherwise several miles of stop and go on a major highway at the end of an already-45-minute-long-drive tolerable.

I live in a commuter community. It's a great place - but most people I know who live in the area drive North or drive South for work. My drive goes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour fifteen. I'll admit it: sometimes I get grouchy. Or I get lost in an audiobook.

Tonight, I looked. And that's why I like rainbows. They remind me to look up, look around, notice the separation of the colors. It's a chance to see something most of us never think about - visible light - in an entirely different way.

And at the end of my commute? A someone special, a glass of wine and a tired pug, which is better than trick gold anyway.
